Who we are

The RMS Leinster Centenary Commemoration Group (Holyhead) comprises members of the Holyhead Maritime Museum, Holyhead Heritage Group and other contributing individuals under the chair of Cllr. Ann Kennedy. The Group meets regularly and is currently preparing a programme of events in readiness for October 2018. More details will be published through this Blog and elsewhere.

* each of these lost a grandfather in the sinking

The Government of the Republic of Ireland have decided to commemorate the loss of RMS Leinster on a national level and have set up a Steering Group at Dun Laoghaire to oversee this. The Commemoration Group at Holyhead are in contact with those organising commemorative events in Ireland and regularly exchange information.
